Qualifications / Requirements:
• National Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanics / Mechatronics
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Experience in a maintenance / production environment
• Proficient in MS Office, specifically MS Excel
• Solid knowledge of SQL, with the ability to build and write queries against multiple databases.
• Great analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of material properties, tensile strength, and toughness that can affect bolting applications.
• Good communication, presentation skills and a great team player
Key performance areas:
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure that process documentation, such as control plans, etc., is regularly maintained / updated and that bolting issues are sufficiently addressed.
• Continuously monitor, update and calibrate electronic torque transducers to ensure adherence to quality standards
• Perform an annual review of the torque verification specifications to ensure that the configuration specification remains relevant.
• Update fastening work instructions, review fastening descriptions and fastening reports
• Ensure continuous improvement of bolting processes, compliance with company standards, and adherence to bolting KPIs.
• Be part of the team for the preparation of the audit, accompany the auditors when requested and take actions related to the related findings.
