SALES MANAGER(HEAVY DUTY ELECTRICAL EXPERIENCE A MUST)
(NATIONAL)

This incumbent will be reporting to the General Manager.

The main function of this position is to help the company meet customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping the company competitive and innovative. To be responsible for establishing a sales strategy, maximizing sales team potential, establish sales processes for a world-class sales force, crafting sales plans and execute against those plans.

The key tasks & responsibilities for this position are to:
· Organise a sales meeting for the team on a weekly & monthly basis
· Ensure an efficient turnaround time on all enquiries
· Contribute to New product development, listing and launch based on market insights and trends
· Ensure launch of new products receives the full support from sales according to the launch plan
· Ensure that all sales staff are given monthly budgets
· Monitor monthly budgets with regards to progress and rectify accordingly
· Set incentive and commission targets and monitor daily sales
· Report on budgets in monthly flash meeting with business plan for the upcoming period
· Check sales turnover on a daily basis and communicate with sales people any issues or concerns
· Achieve growth and hit sales targets
· Identifying and executing on Trade shows & Exhibitions opportunities to grow the sales company & company Waco partner brands
· Ensure Master data is maintained and up to date
· Ensure all customers on master data is link to a rep with a corresponding call day and frequency on the call plan
· Ensure a sales resourcing model is maintained and productive sales routing is implemented
· Plan a weekly calling route schedule from Monday to Friday
· Ensure the weekly calling schedule is maintained
· Assist with identifying and developing emerging markets
· Have regular sales promotions to grow incremental Revenue, Gross Margin and market share for Waco
· Advise clients of price increases, new products, specials etc
· Check details of query and find a solution
· Service major and key accounts by personally giving them preferential treatment
· Assist with urgent deliveries when requested by management
· Ensure that all samples and goods delivered by yourself and or reps, is always accompanied by official documentation
· Follow up on new sale leads
· Build and promote lasting relationships by understanding the needs of customers
· Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible prices
· Ensure a good relationship with customers at all times
· Establish an excellent working relationship by always “keeping promises” and handling all problems
· Do “customer analysis by value” report and compare to prior periods
· Root cause analysis & Evaluate the changes and take appropriate actions
· Check the following reports on a daily basis:
ü Under 10% report
ü Product changes report
ü Credit limits exception report
· Weekly sales report submitted to the GM
· Check and resolve the following reports in terms of the Revenue & GP:
ü Credit notes
ü Purchases
ü General sales
ü Rep call reports
· Visit top customers on a regular basis
· Visit customers with sales representatives
· Complete all tender documentation when necessary
· Submit and follow up tenders on a regular basis
· Obtain pin authorisation from head office for customers above the limit
· Control all Buy-outs ensuring that they are invoiced and returned to suppliers if necessary
· Implement, manage, control and report on key sales metrics through the sales CRM system
· Ensure Insight driven and accurate forecasting support to the procurement department
· Encourage and motivate all employees all the time
· Determine Couching and training needs of the team members
· Create and execute a couching and training plan for the sales team
· Ensure that branch security regulations are adhered to as per security checklist procedures
· Treat all company and management information with the highest confidentiality and integrity
· Assist the branches/GM with other duties that is fair and reasonable
· Obey any reasonable instruction from management
· Represent Waco management at functions and stakeholder engagements

The key educational requirements and experience for this position would be:
· Post matric Sales Management qualification is a MUST
· A minimum of 5-7 years Electrical Sales experience
· Strong market sales record and knowledge of the South African market
· Valid driver’s licence is a MUST

Computer literate – preference will be given to users with strong K8 knowledge
