Title: Retail Sales Supervisor, Permanent Position
Reports to: Financial Director
Hours: Mon – Thurs 08:30 – 17:00, Fri – 08:30 – 16:00
A leading textile company based in the Northern suburbs seeks to employ a Retail Sales
Supervisor.
The ideal candidate will:
 Have a completed Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
 Be computer literate. They will be proficient in Microsoft Office and have experience
working on a POS system.
 Have strong interpersonal skill with a positive outlook.
 Be assertive without being aggressive.
 Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to handle stress.
 Possess strong work ethic
 Retail sales experience required
 Textile experience advantageous
 Contactable references
 Clear criminal record
Key responsibilities:
 Manage a team of 8
 Supervise, train and assist employees with customer service and store maintenance.
 Establish and maintain long-term relationship with clients to generate repeat
business and referrals.
 Liaise with customers telephonically and face to face regarding new orders,
outstanding orders and stock availability.
 Provide excellent customer service and accurate information regarding the product.
 Processing invoices and customer payments using the shop’s Point of Sale system
 Receive and process cash, credit card and EFT payments within defined procedures.
 Oversee daily cash up
 Assist with annual stock take
