Job purpose: Plan, organize, or manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY AREAS
Determining, implementing, storage and distribution strategies, policies and plans.
Monitoring and reviewing storage and inventory systems to meet supply requirements and control stock levels.
Planning and directing daily operations.
Organizing stock in a manner that is efficient and saves energy
Daily stocktake of fruit in coldstore. Report any stock problems to System manager. Keep record of sign off copies from the stock takes.
Ensure efficient loading of bins to maximise the load mass of the transport. This is to minimize transport costs per load.
Liaise with production regarding the filling of orders.
Take responsibility for coldstore damages and facility protection.
Ensure that high Health & Safety practises is followed in work areas.
Follow correct cold chain and cooling procedures as set out by Company
Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by Management.
Ensure bins are placed correctly into loads according to destinations etc.
Ensure that trucks loading is clean according to standards before loading takes place
Impose discipline in area of responsibility
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
Ability the work under pressure
Excellent knowledge of Excel (MS Office) will be a prerequisite
Previous experience in similar role
Excellent organisational skills
Meticulous and detail orientated
Systematic organised with high work ethics
Excellent communication skills
Fluent English & Afrikaans written and verbal communication skills
