REQUIREMENTS
Issuance of a Certificate of Compliance is required
N3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
Trade proven
MV / LV authorization
2-5 years of work experience as a qualified electrician
RESPONSIBILITIES
Capable of conducting a COC – Certificate of Compliance
MV / LV tests + Authorization
Cable termination
Interprets and coordinates specific pre-job / site requirements regarding installation, repairs, planned and predictive maintenance sequences.
Maintenance, construction, installation and commissioning of the electrical network.
11kv overhead lines and underground cables, distribution equipment, mini substations, ring head units, transformers, 400V / 230V distribution kiosks
Maintenance of streetlights and high mast lights
Perform overtime and standby tasks for a toaster.
Disconnect electricity in case of power failure and to repair line and cables.
Compile weekly / monthly reports for the electrical section
