Laser Operators

Our client seeks to employ the services of a Laser Operator. The successful encumberment will be able to operate a laser system for engraving, marking and cutting. As well as preparing and cutting materials.
Duties include:
• Follows directions and communicates with the senior supervisor throughout the shift
• Reads all paperwork provided to ensure that products are engraved accurately
• Uploads files into image software.
• Places items in the fixture for the engraving process, and removes them when complete
• Quality checks all products to ensure engraving is straight and accurate
• Packages products correctly according to the job order
• Operate laser and brake press equipment
• Reports problems with quality, processes, or equipment to supervisor on shift
• Maintains clean and organized work area to boost employee’s success and production rate
• appropriate PPE to be worn at all times
• Reports to work on-time daily
Skills /Knowledge & Experience:
• Proven experience as a machine operator or technical experience, minimum 2 years
• Matric
• Computer literate
• Mechanically Inclined
• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools.
• Understanding of production procedures
• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., constant use of protective gear)
