Hollowcore Slabs Factory seeks a young, fit Millwright to be part of a strong maintenance team with years of experience. Own transport is a non-negotiable requirement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify the problem – fault finding
Optimise plant and equipment availability
Execute maintenance schedules
Make educated decisions in breakdown situations
Attend maintenance meetings
Attend planning sessions and assist with developing an efficiently planned maintenance schedule
Report daily maintenance issues
Ensure continued preventative maintenance
Drive improvements
Stop spillage and waste
Ensure correct and sufficient parts are kept in the store
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualified Red Seal
Good communication skills
Min 5 years experience
Excellent interpersonal skills
Accuracy
Own transport
Must have own basic tools
Must be available for overtime and standby
English ad Afrikaans
Employees become members of a provident fund after their 3 month probation period. The annual closedown is in December/January during the builder’s holiday. Working hours are from 07:00 to 17:30, but only until 15:00 on a Friday.
