DUTIES 

HR Strategy

Advise and support the Central Leadership Team on legal and regulatory compliance.

Develop and maintain company policies, including the Employee Handbook.

Manage pay, benefits, and foster a culture of continual improvement.

Handle basic labor law reporting (EEA2 and EEA4) and provide BBBEE support.

HR Operational:

Administer end-to-end employment processes and recruitment.

Provide HR advice and training to managers and employees.

Facilitate effective performance management.

Ensure timely and legal job descriptions and employment contracts.

Gather staff insights through surveys and meetings, implementing improvements.

Support managers with employee relations, disciplinary, grievance, and redundancy matters.

Oversee high standards of payroll administration in partnership with the Finance department.

Handle warnings, disciplinary actions, and represent in hearings, CCMA, and IR procedures.

Implement reporting processes for key employment issues and promote exit interviews.

Ensure Data Protection Act compliance and robust performance management.

Manage weekly payroll processing, reporting, and all leave types effectively.

Provide support in HMRC submissions, EMP201, and EMP501 reconciliations.

Handle COIDA and WCA calculations and submissions.

Health and Safety:

Collaborate with the Retail Operations Manager for legal and regulatory compliance.

Provide recording, monitoring, and reporting for Health and Safety issues.

Conduct investigations into accidents and incidents in partnership with operational colleagues.

Manage one Payroll and HR administrator
