Applications are invited for a General Worker positions in Technical Services at Orpen
Camp: Waste Management Site, Kruger National Park. Reporting to the Maintenance
Officer
The key performance areas of the successful incumbents would include the following:
Key Performance Areas
 Perform responsibilities as per supervisors schedule and demand of operations
 Sorting and separation of recyclables from non- recyclables and Incineration
 Perform crushing and Bailing of recyclables
 Store all recyclables according to their types (Glass, Plastic, Boxes, and Tin) into their
designated areas
 Cleaning of the Building and collecting litter around the Facility
 Maintain good housekeeping
 Report any problem animals and maintenance issues to the supervisor
Requirements
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities
that are required for the job:
 Grade 12
 Physically fit.
 Basic knowledge of OHS.
 Knowledge of working in the national park
 Ability to listen and objectively understand verbally conveyed message
Experience in waste handling/management will be added advantage.
NB. The positions will be filled in line with the Employment Equity Targets for
KNP.
