Vacancy Available:

Key responsibility areas will include: (1) executing programme deliverables to ensure targets are achieved;
(2) providing early intervention services, trauma containment and psychosocial support to victims of violence
and crime; (3) facilitation of prevention programmes to encourage community dialogue and effect behaviour
change; (4) planning, organising, mobilising for and evaluating programme activities; (5) networking,
advocacy and linking with diverse stakeholders to ensure continuity and sustainability of programmes; and
(6) general administration including capturing and collation of statistical data.

Requirements:
• A relevant tertiary qualification in social auxiliary work or at least 2rd level completed towards a Bachelors
Degree in Social Work;
• Registration with the SACSSP;
• SAPS Clearance Certificate
• A valid Code 8 (EB) driver’s license is an advantage;
• Knowledge of HIV/AIDS, GBV, VEP practices and the relevant SA legislation is an advantage;
• Previous experience within the NGO sector is preferred;
• Proficiency in English and isiZulu;
• Good proficiency in computer skills including working knowledge using spreadsheets, reporting, email
and internet;
• Strong, persuasive written and oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills;
• Must be able to manage own work requirements independently, as well as be part of a team approach;
• Ability to manage multiple programmes/ projects, priorities and deadlines over long periods;
• Excellent organisational skills, with a thorough attention to detail;
• A flexible approach to working hours and duties, as well as travel requirements.
