Location: Limpopo (Six months contract)
Job Description:
The candidate will be involved in the designs of roads, municipal services, bridges and other forms of infrastructure. You will have to prepare design drawings and any other reports and paperwork necessary to complete each project. It would also be expected of the candidate to manage the construction of a project and oversee its implementation.
Education:
• B-Tech/Bsc/BEng Civil Engineering
• Professional Registration with ECSA as a Pr. Eng/ Pr.Tech
Skills/Experience Required:
• 8 years of experience in bulk earth works, roads and water design.
• Designing township/municipal services (roads, storm water, bulk water supply, water reticulation, sewer)
• Must be self-driven and entrepreneurial in approach
• Comprehension of contract documentation
• Proficient in AutoCad and Civil3D or equivalent
• Excellent MS Excel skills, and must be able to demonstrate such skills. MS Project experience and skills are a bonus.
Responsibilities:
• Design of all designated assignments
• Detailing, producing and compiling Civil Engineering services drawings
• Estimate and compile Bills of Quantities
• Prepare tender documents
• Oversee construction projects and conduct site meetings and site visits
• Liaise with clients
• Manipulation of generic plans to fit multiple engineering objectives
• Ensuring the professionalism and quality of all issued work
• Developing and managing design and drawing production processes
