Job Position: Continuous Improvement Artisan (Boilermaker or Toolmaker)

Qualifications / Requirements:
• Qualified Trade Tested Artisan (Boilermaker or Toolmaker)
• Minimum of 5 years Post Apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings as well as produce small drawings when required
• Computer literate (MS Excel and Outlook)
• Prepared to work shifts and / or overtime at short notice including weekends if required
Key Performance Areas:
• Use a wide range of handheld power tools and metalwork equipment
• Work accurately and neatly, using correct measurement and layout techniques
• Perform improvements to processes and systems based on gap analysis – preventative maintenance, excessive downtime, process dimensional outputs based on SPC data analysis, customer complaints internal and external
• Support continuous improvement strategic projects as assigned – preventative maintenance to jigs and fixtures and improve jig and fixture design and functionality
• Ensure machine capabilities are maintained
• Identify and implement error proofing to machines, equipment and processes
