YES YOUTH TRAINING PROGRAMME – MULALORAKH CAREERS

Youth Employment Service (YES) is looking for a Drones Training Programme Partner to operate from the Genesis Hub, in the Saldanha Bay Municipality, Western Cape for a
3-month contract per cohort.
Please note that this is an opportunity for an organisation in the Drone sector to develop youth and link them to hosts to provide them with quality work experience to be employable or drones related entrepreneurs by the end of the 3-month programme.

The Training Programme Partner will be expected to:
• Must have an existing, registered, and operating business running with the capacity to scale.
• Assist YES with recruitment and shortlisting of youth to be trained.
• Deliver CAA aligned training plan to 20 youth -Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC).
Industry specialisation training is also as requirement.
• The youth must be actively involved in tasks or activities created by the partner and or equivalent e.g., host partners.
• Create and build relevant market access for the programme in the community.
• Provide the necessary monitoring and evaluation reporting on the programme.
Training and Evaluation Framework:
• Please note that if you are successful, you will be required to do a diagnostic assessment of the youth before presenting the finalised training plan.
• Cost effectiveness
• Present a training plan along with a budget proposal to execute accordingly.
• Utilize the necessary training and operating tools* and equipment* for the programme at the Hub.
Remote Pilot Certificate (RPC) training should include theoretical, practical and software knowledge and technical skills transfer.
• The training should enable youth to manufacture components for commercial and retail use, as well as integrate skilled youth into a relevant sector supply chain.
• Ensure placement of at least 40% of the youth into work placements after the 3-month programme.
• This entails producing a job offer to the youth between month 3 and 4. Work placements must be at least eight (8) months duration and Youth must be paid a salary that is at least equal to the applicable

minimum wage.
• The training programme should ultimately aim to propel youth into the 4IR, prepared, competent, and armed with vital skills.
Facilities to be provided by YES
• Basic infrastructure will be in place at the Genesis Hub for the programme.
• Training room, Laptops, Wi-Fi.

• Basic Digital Literacy and MS Training
Eligibility Criteria for the youth:
• South African
• Unemployed
• Youth – Ages between 18 – 34
• Black (African, Indian, Coloured)
• AT least 55% of the cohort to be female.
• To reside in the Saldanha Bay Municipality
