Eligibility criteria
Be a South African citizen
Students applying for in-service training should be enrolled at a TVET college and are required to do practical training for 12 months
Should be currently unemployed and 30 years of age or younger at the time of appointment to the in-service training programme;
Currently studying any of the following qualifications:
• Civil Engineering and Building Construction N5 – N6
• Building and Civil Construction N5 – N6
The following applies to candidates who are NOT ELIGIBLE to be appointed as Vukuphile In-service trainees:
Candidates who are currently participating in any other skills development programme/project funded by another public institution or CETA during the CETA workplace placement.
Duration and Stipend
The programme is offered for a period of 24 months. Appointees will be provided a monthly stipend of R3000p/m. Successful applicants will be required to sign a contract for the duration of the University Student Placement.
