The US wants South Africans who can fluently speak Isizulu to teach isiZulu at its universities. The stipend is between R6,200 – R9,400 in US Dollars
Qualified South African teachers who speak isiZulu as their home language can apply
The programme is called Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Programme
Successful participants will receive a monthly stipend, health insurance, flight costs & visa support.
They’ll be expected teach up to 20 hours of language classes each week, facilitate cultural events, & be involved in community outreach projects over a course of 9 months.
