A National leading food service provider, specialising in frozen foods and chilled products is looking to employ a Sales Manager/Sales Representative with experience in Red Meat to join their team.

JOB OVERVIEW
You will be responsible by overseeing, managing organizational sales by developing business plans, meeting planned goals, and coordinating with their marketing department on lead generation. You will also be tasked with responsibilities include ensuring that current customers have the right products, identify new markets and customer leads, as well as pitch prospective customers. Maintaining good customer relations and pursuing new sales opportunities.

The seniority of this role will be determined by the Years of Sales Experience as well as the book size managed by the incumbent.

Areas of Responsibility (Your duties will include but are not limited to)
Direct Sales – Sales Representative
Promote sales and secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach
Demonstrates products to existing and potential customers and assist them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
Makes telephone calls, in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers
Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential
Develop clear and effective written quotations for current and prospective customers
Coordinate sales effort with marketing, sales, account receipts and logistics
Analyse the territory’s potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customers’ value to the company
Plan and organize personal sales strategy by maximizing the GP for the Product Department and Rep Code Area

Areas of Responsibility (Your duties will include but are not limited to)
Strategy and Planning – Sales Manager
Managing organizational sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue and expense controls.
Meeting planned sales goals and targets with a growth of 15% Year on Year.
Coordinating with marketing on lead generation.
Promoting the organization and products.
Understand their ideal customers and how they relate to their products.
Sales Team Management
Tracking sales goals and reporting results as necessary.
Assist HR in the hiring of new Sales Representatives.
Ensure Representatives achieve their objectives through effective planning, setting sales goals, analysing data on past performance, and projecting future performance.

Reporting
Monitor, review and report on all sales activity and results as per agreed timeframes and targets.
Report on the effectivity of the sales plans and projects.
Ensure reporting meets SOP requirements.

Teamwork
Support co employees.
Actively participate as a member of the team
Performing any other task, not specified herein, which from time to time may be assigned by the manager.
Ensure optimal management of Group compliance by adhering to acts, regulations, by laws, company systems, policies, and procedures.
Making continues improvements, maintaining high standards and making sure management information is accurate.
Acceptance of overall responsibility and accountability for the prevention of work-related injury, ill health, environmental protection, effectiveness of the management system, as well as provision of safe and healthy workplace and activities.
Ensure/ communicate knowledge of the importance of effective OHS management and of conforming to the OHS requirements
Be aware of /conversant with potential liability, both criminal and civil, arising from OHS related legal contraventions.

Knowledge, skills, and experience required
Educational Background:
Grade 12
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand Afrikaans & English
Relevant Degree or relevant extensive sales management experience in a relevant field and environment.
Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies.
Experience in customer relationship management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Dedication to providing great customer service.
