DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a registered nurse for the mobile unit to perform health screenings of all clients in the mobile unit and HIV tests for clients on farms to bridge the gap between facilities and farms, by linking all clients and the transfer of those who are far from the facilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the HTS team by mobilizing all clients screened for other diseases to also get tested for HIV
Registration and capture of all activities carried out in the mobile unit, including the transfer of inputs and outputs to the facilities.
Support community outreach teams during campaigns on farms.
Register the clients seen in the mobile unit and ensure the monitoring of the visit program
Provide health education to all suspicious clients referred by the counselor and then refer them to the nurse practitioner
Attend internal meetings, workshops and trainings
Ensure accurate written communication, including reports and emails.
Initiate and maintain open communication and relationship with farm facilities and stakeholders.
Assist the team with the collection and verification of monthly and quarterly statistics
Report all clients screened on farms to facility managers
Submit a detailed detection verification report monthly, per facility
Present and follow up on the movement plan with subdistrict managers and HTS team leaders
Essential qualifications and experience
REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 (Matric)
Registered and Registered Nurse Qualification with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
Work experience of at least 2 years as a registered nurse
Work experience in the detection of HIV and tuberculosis
Good oral and written communication skills
Report writing skills
MS Office proficiency
