Location : Uitenhage Eastern Cape

Our client in the manufacturing industry requires an experienced Payroll officer with 3 to 5 years solid payroll processing within manufacturing and have MIBCO / Bargaining council 3rd party returns experience.

Responsibilities
Capture data input i.e. Allowances
Generate Incentive report from the Intranet and import into payroll
Analyse and audit prelim payroll to provide On Time and In Full (OTIF) payroll
Complete and apply for SARS Tax Directive (Retirees, Retrenchments, Deceased, settlements etc.)
Process Acting Allowance i.e. calculations
Respond to online query Tool queries i.e. short payments, Incentive etc.
Complete online termination checklist and administer final wages i.e. bonus, leave pay etc.
Process FNB Electronic transfers of wages and extra payments
Prepare costing for hourly payroll
Hourly Payroll General Ledger Reconciliations
Tax Reconciliation of Monthly payments and yearly reconciliation-
E-Filing
Preparation of Journals
Compile consolidated creditors and Synrec reports for Finance
General Filing
Ad-hoc Reports i.e. union membership, headcount report, financial history (Earnings and Deductions)
Quarterly Statistic report to South Africa Statistics
Cash-flow Forecast
Document workflow and work procedures
Responsible for creating, maintaining and updating all payroll processes as per annual goals and when required by EB Department.
UIF and SDL payment to SARS
PAYE payment to SARS
Ensure implementation of measures, and maintain controls
Raise awareness and provide information about ESH responsibilities and duties
Ensure immediate notification and response, and initiate preventive measures in case of unsafe or polluting hazards
Demonstrate exemplary personal behaviour in ESH and motivate others

Qualifications
Matric
Related HR degree or diploma
3 to 5 years experience as a Payroll Officer within manufacturing
