Duties & Responsibilities:
Gathering & capturing of time sheets and staff attendance to ensure validity
Check & validate staff sick notes
Check overtime work has been signed off and approved by all relevant parties
Confirming that AODs etc have been completed in full as per Company requirements
Assisting with all tasks before monthly pay run to ensure a smooth and accurate month end
Assisting with payroll queries and payroll-related issues & working to resolve them as a matter of urgency
Accurate completion of the company Provident Fund forms monthly
Completing all UIF forms etc as necessary
Capturing and maintaining a warning letter data base
Preparing documentation for disciplinary hearings when necessary
Assisting the Payroll Manager with annual leave processing and filing
Maintaining staff files and filing of all necessary staff documentation
Assisting with staff confirmations
Any other AD HOC payroll/HR functions as and when required

Desired Experience & Qualification:
Previous experience as a Payroll Assistant preferable
Familiarity with VIP payroll software beneficial
Excellent data entry and admin skills
Capacity to keep track of numerous ongoing tasks
Be able to work under pressure and use own initiative
Excellent people skills
An excellent command of the English language
Must be computer literate with excellent Microsoft office skills
Adherence to all prescribed ethical guidelines, confidentiality is of the utmost importance in this role
Strong sense of integrity

Package & Remuneration:
Negotiable on experience
