Microsoft Database Administrator
Location: Gauteng
Duration: Contract or Permanent

Qualifications and Experience Required:
- At least 5 years of Database Administration and Business Intelligence experience
- Tertiary certification, diploma or degree in Computer Systems or equivalent.
- 5 years of T-SQL programming experience
- Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools and experience with backups, restores and recovery models
Skills and Competencies – including but not limited to:
- Procedural skills
- Able to plan the structure of a database for new developments and customizations
- ERP and business knowledge
- Experience with SSIS, SSRS, instance tuning, and SQL tuning
- Adequate knowledge of PHP, XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- SQL code reviews and walk-throughs
- Storage management techniques
