DESCRIPTION
The Vodacom Foundation is looking for young people to develop and train in ICT skills. The program promises to allow youth to be part of future identified projects and programs. Once a student has completed the program, she will be able to assist with IT equipment installation, computer renovation, troubleshooting, and connectivity.
Each student will receive a stipend over the course of the program. The apprenticeship is a fixed 1 year contract.
REQUIREMENTS
Have a certificate of enrollment with English (1st or 2nd language). Math or math literacy. Business Studies and Physical Sciences;
Reside within the radius of the Vodacom ICT Center;
They must be unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
You must not have received this training before:
You have not received any other scholarships or financial aid during the year. Must be a resident of South Africa, with valid South African ID;
Must be from a disadvantaged background (focus will be on schools in quintiles 1-3);
Students who do not reveal information will be disqualified.
