Program for Accelerator Work Integrated Learning

Love giving people a good experience and supporting others? Would you like to be paid while developing your skills? We are seeking enthusiastic, upbeat, and inquisitive youth to participate in our integrated learning program on contact center work. As you assist young people who are having difficulty obtaining employment, you will obtain invaluable experience working in a contact center.

A non-profit social venture called Harambee seeks to reduce young unemployment by forming alliances. We strive to remove obstacles and open up jobs that keep millions of South Africans out of work. A ground-breaking network called SA Youth, which unites employers and partners to establish a single national platform for young people to access learning and employment opportunities, includes Harambee as an anchor partner. Since its launch, Harambee has helped more than 3.5 million job searchers and made over 900,000 job opportunities possible.

Position Description

12-month Work Integrated Learning

Programme candidate.

You will support young work seekers/entrepreneurs via telephonic conversations/ email communications by providing them with meaningful advice and giving them practical guidance on their journey to employment.

Harambee contact center learner responsibilities include: Supporting young work

seekers/entrepreneurs via telephone conversations/email communications Utilizing active listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills to understand young work seekers/entrepreneurs’ needs and respond with meaningful guidance and support.

Work with our team leaders to improve processes and the experience of work seekers/entrepreneurs young Follow the Harambee values and ways of working.

Minimum Requirements

Commit to a 12-month programme

beginning in September 2023 Be available from 8am-5pm Monday to Friday for the duration of a 12-month programme.

Must be open to working shifts and occasional weekends.

You must live within one taxi ride of

Braamfontein.

Matric (Grade 12) or Grade 10 for applicants with disabilities.

No criminal record

Currently unemployed with no or very little work experience.
