DESCRIPTION
The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and Environment (DFFE), Natural Resource Management Programs (NRM) is the custodian of Groen Sebenza’s job creation and skills development program that aims to develop priority skills in the sector of the biodiversity and the environment.
The goal is to create sustainable job opportunities for unemployed youth in the green economy. The WESSA Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa has partnered with DFFE’s Directorate for Natural Resource Management to implement the Groen Sebenza program across the country in 2021-2022. The internship period is 12 months.
