POSITION: FLEET MANAGER
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Valid Driver’s License, at least 5 years driving experience
- Computer literate (All Microsoft Office Applications)
- Minimum of 3 years working experience in a Management Position
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in a Fleet Position
- Mechanical knowledge or experience
- Ability to work under pressure and long hours
- Own vehicle
- Applicants must be prepared to undergo a Criminal Clearance Check and Polygraph Test.
Job Description:
- Overseeing of all Fleet Co-ordinators
- Vehicle Monitoring
- Recording and analysing of vehicle violations
- Daily vehicle reports, obtaining quotes and purchase orders
- Management of vehicle fuel cards, e-tags, and stock control
- Purchasing vehicles to expand and/or enhance the fleet
- Scheduling regular maintenance on all vehicles
- Ordering urgent or emergency repairs as needed
- Establishing efficient routes and transportation schedules
- Co-ordinating Drivers and on-staff maintenance professionals when setting employee schedules
- Managing vehicle licenses and registration
- Ensuring all fleet members have proper licenses and up-to-date training
- Monitoring Drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and proper driving practices
- Searching for, hiring and training new Drivers
- Providing reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance and fleet progress
- Developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency
