AFRI GUARD is hiring
POSITION: FLEET MANAGER

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Valid Driver’s License, at least 5 years driving experience
  • Computer literate (All Microsoft Office Applications)
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience in a Management Position
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in a Fleet Position
  • Mechanical knowledge or experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and long hours
  • Own vehicle
  • Applicants must be prepared to undergo a Criminal Clearance Check and Polygraph Test.

Job Description:

  • Overseeing of all Fleet Co-ordinators
  • Vehicle Monitoring
  • Recording and analysing of vehicle violations
  • Daily vehicle reports, obtaining quotes and purchase orders
  • Management of vehicle fuel cards, e-tags, and stock control
  • Purchasing vehicles to expand and/or enhance the fleet
  • Scheduling regular maintenance on all vehicles
  • Ordering urgent or emergency repairs as needed
  • Establishing efficient routes and transportation schedules
  • Co-ordinating Drivers and on-staff maintenance professionals when setting employee schedules
  • Managing vehicle licenses and registration
  • Ensuring all fleet members have proper licenses and up-to-date training
  • Monitoring Drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and proper driving practices
  • Searching for, hiring and training new Drivers
  • Providing reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance and fleet progress
  • Developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency
