We require the services of a Driver to be employed in terms of a Permanent Contract of Employment who will be based at our Distribution Centre and will form part of the Revenue Services Department. The successful candidate will be required to perform the duties as set out below under the “KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS” section and their responsibilities will include, inter alia, arranging regular cleaning for the vehicle, planning each route based on road and traffic conditions, operating their vehicle in a lawful and safe manner, and ensuring that the vehicle is well maintained as to ensure that no unnecessary wear and tear occurs and that the vehicle is always in roadworthy condition.

ENTRY LEVEL QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE
Grade 12 Certificate.
3 or more years of driving experience.
3 or more years of experience related to the duties as set out below under the “KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS” section.
Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
A valid Code 8 Drivers License.
Good driving record with no traffic violations.
Basic computer and admin skills (advantageous).
Know the Cape Town area well.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Collection of merchandise/donations from donors and sponsors and the delivery of same to St Luke’s
Combined Hospices Charity Shops.

Collection of weekly takings and banking cash from St Luke’s Combined Hospices Charity Shops.
Delivery of stock to St Luke’s Combined Hospices Charity Shops.
Collection of walk-in donations.
Delivery of furniture sales to customers.
Administration of collected goods.
Assistance with maintenance of vehicles.
Performance of other duties, as and when so requested, in support of team goals.
