Our client based in Athlone, is a well-established fast food outlet who is seeking to employ a cashier to join their team
The main purpose of the job is to provide exceptional customer service at the point of sale, thereby maximising selling opportunities and minimising risk to the business. The Cashier must perform till procedures efficiently, accurately and courteously, to ensure the security of all receipts and the full contents of the till at all times. The successful candidate would have good customer skills, have a friendly disposition, and would be trustworthy.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
 Taking customer’s payments in a timely and accurate manner.
 Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment
 Maintain an awareness of all company promotions and advertisements and process them correctly
 Ensure debit cards and credit cards are handled correctly
 Daily cash ups
 Responsible for housekeeping of work area
Qualifications and experience needed:
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a cashier
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans
• Experience at a fast-food outlet
• Minimum of Grade 10
• Compulsory for the candidate to reside in or around Athlone
• Clear credit and criminal record
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Sober habits
