A. Job Title / Reporting to:
Business Development Manager reporting to the Business Development Director located in the UK.

B. Job Purpose:
The Business Development Manager will prospect new business across a number of industries and sectors, with the ability to help solve complex and strategic IoT projects from inception to delivery. You will then design persuasive approaches and proposals to convert potential clients into business customers alongside Vodafone who is our key partner. By presenting new solutions and services to clients globally, with the support of the solution engineering team, you will also develop and maintain existing accounts. Working with marketing, technical staff, and mid and senior level management you will help to facilitate and manage the activities of workers charged with developing business for the corporation.

C. Key Result Areas: ​(Major Accountabilities)
• Responsible for the delivery of sales targets on a quarterly and annual basis
• Solution selling at a senior level to deliver IoT projects and initiatives
• Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
• Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
• Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
• Work closely in partnership with Vodafone and its wider team
• Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
• Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
• Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
• Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
• Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
• Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople

D. Knowledge, Skills, Experience
Knowledge:

• Experience in customer support is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
• Ability to build rapport
Skills:
• Proficiency in English
• Market knowledge
• Communication and negotiation skills
• Time management and planning skills
Professional Experience:

• Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
• Proven sales track record
• 5 years of business development experience
• Extensive experience within the ICT sector, with preference given to IoT
Educational Background:

• BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
