Masambeni is a South African based undergraduate and postgraduate, international internship placement programme. The programme is geared towards academics and community dedicated, young professionals. Masambeni serves as a conduit for the international student body and local enterprises.
We started out our international graduate recruitment adventure ten years ago in Cape Town, thereafter in 2020 we have launched our product in the Netherlands. As our intern, you will be working from our HQ in Cape Town – in a real startup environment and be part of a young and international team.
General Criteria

Business Development Internship Purpose:
As you do your internship as a business developer at Masambeni, you will support various teams and our directors. The intern will be an active and full member of Masambeni new sales team. You will be in charge of finding, contacting, and getting potential new companies and partners to onboard our programme. In the end, you have the opportunity to close your own sales, so don’t be a chicken and own those successes! However, this is not where Masambeni intern’s day ends, there will be multiple different projects in which you will either play a leading role or a helping hand.
Ideal candidate
• Fluent in English (in speech and writing) other local or international languages a bonus
• Available for a minimum of 5 months(possibility of a permanent position)
• A good eye for detail: finding the right piece of information will key
• Open-minded to other cultures
• Self-starter and able to work independently
• A creative, flexible character with openness to new ideas and willing to use their initiative
• Efficient & organized: will have to work with a number of international clients.
• Most importantly, someone fun and easy to work with.

Educational Background
A student who has recently completed or is completing a degree in Business, Digital Marketing, Brand Communications, Copy Writing, Graphic Design or Brand Management.
