Babylonstoren is taking applications for a photography internship. Babylonstoren is one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms, set at the foot of Simonsberg in the Franschhoek wine valley.
We’re looking for a driven and hardworking photography intern to join the Babylonstoren team. This is a fantastic position for someone who’d like to gain experience and grow with the business.
Requirements
Tertiary qualification in photography (diploma/degree)
Minimum 1 year of relevant industry experience
Proficient in Photoshop, Lightroom and Premiere Pro
Hard worker with an eagerness to learn and grow
Go-getter who will thrive in a fast-paced working environment
Must work well in a team environment
Good interpersonal and communication skills
An eye for detail and an appreciation for aesthetics will count in your favour
Strong organisational and administrative skills will be beneficial
Willingness to work flexible hours and assist the team as needed
Physical stamina – carrying of equipment, being on your feet and working on a farm requires physical strength and endurance
Full-time position (working remotely is not an option)
Own transport
Fluent in written and spoken Afrikaans and English
Responsibilities
Provide assistance to photographers
Take product photos for online shop
Basic editing according to style guidelines/brief from photographer
Set-up, breakdown and transport of studio equipment
Backup and storage of digital content
Ensure that all photo equipment is looked after and stored away correctly
Ensure that all products are returned to relevant departments or placed in storage after completion of shoots
Assist marketing team with content creation
