As part of the Presidential Employment Stimulus Program, the Department of Education is inviting unemployed youth to apply for assistant positions in public schools and LSEN in all provinces.
ROLES
Education Assistants (EA) and General School Assistants (GSA)
DURATION
For 5 months from the beginning of November
SALARY
R3827 monthly stipend (less R38 FIU per month)
REQUIREMENTS
• 18 to 35 years old (must not turn 36 before March 31, 2022)
• Live within walking distance of the school
• Must not be working, studying or training (not even part-time)
• Must not receive a government grant (NSFAS, Funza Lushaka, COVID grant)
• No criminal record • EA positions and some GSA positions require a tuition
