Volkswagen South Africa (VWSA) invites qualified students to apply for the Scholarship Program for the academic year 2021.

closing date for the online scholarship application is March 29, 2021

Volkswagen Group South Africa (VWSA) is inviting students from the digital and web sector to apply for its scholarship program.

VW is committed to helping address skills shortages and assisting with youth skill development by providing full financial support in the form of a scholarship.

Students pursuing studies in these fields must apply for the VW Scholarship 2021:
computer’s science
Digital design
Digital advertising
Marketing
Web design

The VW scholarship will cover the following study-related expenses: registration fees, tuition fees, books, accommodation for office supplies and meals. Students will also receive the following benefits:
Additional study support

Mentoring and development during the course of the scholarship program.
Using the laptop for study purposes
Paid vacation work expenses during university vacations

Shortlisted candidates will be notified no later than April 30, 2021; If you do not receive comments before this date, please consider that your request has not been made correctly.

Candidates will be required to attend an interview, as well as participate in psychometric tests and evaluations, before the final selection is made. Scholarship recipients must sign a scholarship contract with the company.

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must meet the following minimum entry criteria before applying (note that if you do not meet all the requirements, your application will not be considered):

Must be a South African citizen or South African permanent resident
Must have completed Matric
You must be studying or intend to study full time to obtain a university degree in one of the aforementioned fields.
Must have obtained a Bachelor’s pass in Matric

Must have achieved a minimum GPA of 65% in Matric
You must have achieved a minimum GPA of 65% at the tertiary level if you are currently studying

Must meet VWSA fairness requirements
You must be studying or intend to study at a recognized tertiary institution in South Africa

Please send attach copies of the following supporting documentation to your application email (submission of these documents is mandatory; if any item is missing, your application will not be considered):

Identity document (certified copy)
Letter from the Department of Labor, if you are a permanent resident but not a South African citizen
Registration certificate (certified copy)
Complete tertiary transcript, if you are currently studying (on letterhead from a tertiary institution)

Comprehensive Curriculum Vitae
Motivation letter stating why you would like to be a recipient of the VWSA scholarship program
