TMH AFRICA IS SEEKING QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTORS (X4)

RESPONSIBILITIES
Dimensional evaluation of in-house and bought-out components and assemblies in accordance with the relevant drawings
Ensure self-audits are conducted on a regular basis
Contribute to continuous improvement and support 5s
initiative
Support other Quality Department functions as needed
Identify and segregate non-conforming tooling and equipment
production equipment and tooling
Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Adhere to Quality Management System as well as assist in
improving the current system
Conduct inspections according to planning, drawings,
standards & client specifications
Compile inspection reports and related documentation
Ensure that product quality assurance data books are
timeously compiled and maintained
Ensure that product quality audits are conducted on time
Liaises with relevant supervision
Ensure that measuring and monitoring equipment used are
calibrated
Ensure that Quality Procedures are adhered to
Ensure that self-audits take place on time
Maintain safety rules
Promote continues improvement
Ensure all defects are fed back to the line and recorded for weekly reports
Ensure and comply with safety standards guidelines, policies, and procedures

REQUIREMENTS
N6 Mechanical Engineering
Boilermaker Trade Qualification
Welding Inspection Level 1
Structural inspection background
Technical background and should be familiar with mechanical drawings
3-5 years’ experience in quality Inspection
Sound technical background
Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
Use measuring instruments
Ability to do complex dimensional checks
Able to work extended hours and shifts
Paint inspection advantageous
NDT inspection Advantageous
Knowledge of OSHACT and ISO 9001:2015 advantageous
