Location: Landsdowne – Cape Town
Salary: R20 000 – R25 000 plus benefits, depending on experience

One of our large Clothing Retail clients is expanding and is looking for an energetic Shipping Administrator, to start at their Head Office in Cape Town.

JOB PURPOSE
The Shipping Administrator will update and coordinate all aspects of the import shipments. 

REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12
Tertiary Qualifications
Imports/Exports experience will be an advantage
Strong administration skills – attention to detail and data accuracy,
Computer Literacy: MS Excel, Outlook
Own transport essential with valid driver’s licence

Duties include, but are not limited to:
Reporting and supplier communication
Processing orders onto in house purchase order system
Liaison with buying/planning managers including weekly meeting updates
Responsible for control of all elements from handover of goods to arrival at Cape Town Dc including:  All paperwork handed over with goods- i.e. invoices/packing lists/bill lading etc
Liaise with shipper as regards consolidation if not enough cbm to fill full container
Liaise with company director as regards: Deposit payments; Final payments on hand over; any customs delays
Communicate with shipper as regards excessive lead times in shipping of goods as well as weekly updates on status of containers
Liaise with GHS accountant as regards any o/s or problem invoicing
Liaising with shipper
Assistance with weekly and month end reports
General office administration (incl. Filing, updating of reports, emails.)
