Groen Sebenza III – Internship Program 2021
Groen Sebenza aims to develop priority skills in the biodiversity sector to create sustainable job opportunities for unemployed graduates over a period of two years. Groen Sebenza brings together young South Africans from previously disadvantaged backgrounds with experienced biodiversity professionals to learn, grow, and ultimately gain the competence and confidence to embark on rewarding and meaningful careers in biodiversity.
The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) invites suitably qualified graduate applicants to apply for internships in the fields mentioned.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must be enthusiastic and have a keen interest in biodiversity conservation.
The opportunity is aimed at unemployed youth.

THE FOLLOWING INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES ARE OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS
Intern in Environmental and Scientific Education
National Diploma / BA / BSc in:
Environmental science
Conservation
Education with a specialization in Environmental Education.
Locations: Betty’s Bay (Western Cape), Bloemfontein, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Mbombela, Pietermaritzburg, Pretoria, National Zooogical Garden, Walter Sisulu, Mokopane, Thohoyandou, Worcester (Western Cape)
MONTHLY INTERNSHIP STIPENDS
Diploma completed (or equivalent to NQF 6): R5 444.00
Bachelor’s degree completed (or equivalent to NQF 7): R6 588.00
Honors Completed (or equivalent to NQF 8): R7 785.00
Master’s degree completed (or equivalent to NQF 9): R8 983.00
NB. Candidates with qualifications higher than those indicated above may apply, however, only the remuneration indicated above will be applied.
