Location : Pavilion Mall – KZN

A large medallion & coin brokerage with shops based in KwaZulu Natal, are currently looking to employ a well presented, young and energetic Sales Consultant to start immediately or as soon as possible. MUST be a sales hunter!!!

Salary: R8350 per month plus commission, medical aid, group life cover and pension as well as monthly incentives and performance awards for best achievers per store

THE PURPOSE OF THE SALES CONSULTANT POSITION
To sell rare coins, medallions and luxury goods supported by Excellent Client Service and Continuous Improvement. Successful candidates must be able to work in a retail environment, but they do not have to come from retail. In the stores, there is low foot traffic. Much of the business is obtained by searching for it and pouncing on the opportunities when people are browsing or coming into the store.

REQUIREMENTS
Matric
Tertiary Qualification would be preferable
MUST be well presented
Sales experience in a luxury goods retail environment would be advantageous
Must identify with gold as a product and be passionate and knowledgeable about this commodity
Strong sales record
Must be comfortable selling high value products. If they are not comfortable dealing in R1000’s with Invoices that can be up to R1M, they will not succeed. Dealing with mid to rich people and being comfortable in doing so is very important
Must be able to work retail hours – which includes weekends
Must have a proven record in showing initiative
High energy and go-getter personalities

DUTIES INCLUDE
Selling coins and medallions
Identifying new business opportunities and actively focusing on building the client base – critical and key to success
Capturing client information on the CRM system
Keeping regular contact with existing clients.
Addressing client queries and handling Trade Exchanges according to Company Policy and Procedure
Honing product knowledge, sales and client service skills on a continual basis.
Keeping up to date with pricing and product developments
Handling of cash, credit cards, bank transfers and cheques
Assisting with stock counts
Following systems, policies and procedures within the stores
Ensuring that merchandise is attractively and accurately displayed
Safekeeping of company assets and facility
Keeping the store neat and tidy at all times, which entails cleaning the store
Dressing and presenting a professional appearance. (Name badges to be worn at all times)
Filing, general administration and assisting in store efficiency as required
Being vigilant of suspicious behaviour of clients and people around the store and responding appropriately in such circumstances
