A busy GP practice at Wierda Park is looking for a permanent receptionist to join our dynamic team. We are looking for an experienced receptionist to manage our reception on a daily basis and perform a variety of administrative tasks.
Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive for practice.
Answer, filter, and forward incoming phone calls, make appointments, and attend to patient inquiries
Make sure the reception area is neat and presentable, with all necessary stationery and supplies (e.g. pens, forms, and brochures)
Provide basic and accurate information in person and by phone / email
Receive, sort, and distribute blood results.
Maintain office security by following security procedures and controlling access through the reception desk
Update calendars and schedule meetings
Arrange appointments on behalf of patients with specialists.
Serve visitors and answer questions by phone and face-to-face. Provide information about the practice to the general public, clients and clients.
Knowledge of administrative and office procedures.
Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications is a must
Well spoken, must be able to speak Afrikaans and English fluently
Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
5 years + receptionist experience
Excellent telephone skills
Salary is related to the market
