PAPER PURPOSE
We are looking for a responsible receptionist to receive, inspect and record shipments and products.

You will be responsible for downloading the packages and verifying their content to ensure that they match the orders.

You must have a great eye for details and basic math skills. To carry out your tasks successfully, you will need adequate physical strength to download products, as well as administrative skills to update records and follow up with suppliers.

The goal is to make sure we receive the correct packages and store them properly.
Check the packages according to the order and invoices (quantity, quality, price, etc.)
Contact vendor if an error is identified
Take responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements
Label deliveries and assign them to your designated designation
Make sure invoices are signed and paid for successful deliveries
Keep accurate records and assist in inventory control

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries
Receive shipments and sign paperwork until receipt
Download Inbound Truck Packages
Inspect the contents to make sure they are not damaged
Check the packages according to the order and invoices (quantity, quality, price, etc.)
Contact vendor if an error is identified
Take responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements
Label deliveries and assign them to your designated designation
Make sure invoices are signed and paid for successful deliveries
Keep accurate records and assist in inventory control

REQUIREMENTS

Matric certificate
Proven experience as a receptionist or similar position within a retail environment
You will need to have a clear criminal record, good work ethic, the ability to work well in a busy and pressured environment.
Forklift driving experience
Practical knowledge of computer programs for entering data.
Solid knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Basic math and recording skills.
Excellent organizational skills
Great communication and interpersonal skills.
Reside in the Milnerton area or in the vicinity of the Blouberg, Tableview, Atlantis and Botmasig areas
A stable work history, and have contactable references.

Please note that you will be asked to work during business hours: Monday through Thursday from 07:30 to 17:00 and on Fridays until 16:30
Saturdays (according to the schedule on the list) and holidays if necessary
Willingness to represent the Company in a responsible manner, promoting and maintaining a professional image at all times.
