Hoedspruit Training Trust – Hlokomela Project seeks to appoint a Professional Nurse to work in the Organisation’s clinics and outreach sites in Mopani Sub District.
REQUIREMENTS
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (proof required)
• Grade 12
• A degree/diploma in General Nursing
• Diploma in Primary Health Care
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
• Experience with NIMART, ART Clubs, PrEP, Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH).
• Knowledge of HIV, TB and STI, prevention approaches, and DoH screening guidelines
• Dispensing license will be an advantage
• At least 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an NGO/Community Clinic
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel on a regular basis
• Computer literate in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure efficient coordination of the anti-retroviral site and its referral networks
• Efficient ordering and stock control of PHC and ARV medication
• Compile monthly and daily NIMART as well as PHC stats
• Generate relevant reports and do follow-up on inaccuracies
• Management of staff and delegation of duties
• Provide training to clinic staff according to identified training needs
• Ensure that adequate health talks, pre and post counseling is done
• Health assessments, diagnosing and treatment of clients
• Prescribing and issuing medication
• Design and implement nursing care plans, monitor and evaluate patients’ progress
• Collection of specimens and interpreting thereof
• Patient care and treatment implemented to keep up with new protocols
• Completing patient information on EMR system
• Conducting COVID Rapid Antigen Testing
• Drive to site and offer services to clients in the mobile clinic
