Procurement Officer / Purchasing Manager – Cape Town

Requirements:
•Grade 12
•Tertiary Qualification in Procurement / Purchasing or Finance
•Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Procurement Officer or related position
•Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems
•Very good negotiating skills
•Must be computer literate with strong Excel skills
•Must be free to travel and spend nights away from home
•Contactable references

Responsibility:
Duties:
•Source, negotiate, process all purchases for hotels and lodge projects
•Negotiate best prices and terms with suppliers
•Negotiate best terms of payment, credit facilities and profit margins from suppliers
•Arrange and process the ordering and delivery of required goods and services
•Track all orders for in time delivery to various venues
•Collaborate with all department heads and project managers to ensure specifications and requirements are met
•Perform risk management regarding supply agreements
•Constantly assess purchasing processes
•Prepare all Hotel project related purchase requisitions
•Submit purchase requisitions for approval and issue purchase orders according to company policy and negotiated terms and conditions
•Maintain procurement files
•Supervise the delivery of goods
•Supervise the issuing of goods at our warehouses

Salary:
•R 25 000 – R 30 000 p/m
