Job purpose: To monitor and administer control of finance and its processes in the finance department, including close monitoring of payments, account reconciliations, journal entries, generation and submission of reports.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY AREAS
• Responsible for the capturing and reconciling of accurate records
• Manage the wage payroll and HR related matters, recruitment, learning and development
• Internal regulations and other statutory regulations as required by Department of Labour
• Assist with union and employee matters, including employment equity
• Ensure that all new employees are loaded on system & that all contracts are completed
• Responsible for the wages process during pay period
• Capture fruit stall sales and do Daily Cash up for Fidelity Collection
• Capturing of all training on intranet; monitor and control training certificates record
• Daily production report; weekly and monthly reports
• Manage Health and Safety checklists and report and address concerns
• Assist with internal and external audit
• Workplace discipline – ensure reporting for duty on time and abiding by the company’s policies 
• VAT & HR Compliance – report issues
• Ensure good communication on all levels (upward and downwards)
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Grade 12, Certificate in Payroll Administration
• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Payroll Clerk
• Relevant experience in agriculture/citrus/packhouse will be an advantage
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• Proven MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
• Strong administrative capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving and time management capabilities
• Attention to detail, adaptable and decisive
• Able to handle sensitive or confidential information
