JOB TITLE: General Manager: Office of the Group Executive Director
Officer (GCEO): 5-year contract

DEPARTMENTAL MISSION
The primary purpose of this role is to provide strategic support services to the group CEO, including stakeholder management, project oversight, project management, business reporting, and performance management. Be the single point of contact for analysis, planning, performance and reporting in the office of the Group CEO.
DEPARTURES
Strategy and performance monitoring
Forecast and track group performance in the GCEO office.
Analyze and report on the macro and microenvironmental aspects of the Group.
Prepare and present the analysis of the Group’s performance against the group’s business plan and KPIs and provide recommendations for improvement.
Develop reports on the Group’s performance and communicate them to the company and other identified stakeholders.
Prepare and submit reports as needed
Special executive projects as assigned by the GCEO and liaison as necessary with executives to ensure their completion on time.
Executive office support
Provide administrative support to the GCEO office.
Work with executive staff to align their actions and communications in support of agreed business performance goals.
Ensures that CMOE expectations are conveyed and progress is made in a timely manner.
Ensures that the needs of the executive teams are timely conveyed to the GCEO for consideration.
Supervise the implementation of the resolutions of EXCO, the Board, the Board Committees and the meetings of the management committee.
Direct the preparation of relevant presentations and reports and any other tasks as required by the GCEO.
Participate and attend all meetings of the Executive Team.
Stakeholder engagement and management
Prepare communications and reports with stakeholders for the office of the Group CEO.
Accompany the Group CEO to stakeholder participation meetings.
Maintain good relationships with the Department of Transportation and other relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Attend meetings when necessary on behalf of the Group CEO.
Manages and coordinates the work of the Group CEO to ensure timely and efficient service delivery to the Board and other key stakeholders.
Serve as a liaison with the shareholder and guarantee monthly and quarterly reports.
KNOWLEDGE
A solid understanding and working knowledge of office management and practice.
Knowledge and understanding of the regulatory bodies operating within the rail industry and transportation in general.
It shows original ideas and creative decisions in the development of strategies and operational plans that clearly reflect the vision of the company.
Ability to design and implement project management methodologies.
Extensive knowledge of the business environment
Excellent computer skills and relevant project management software and programs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Law / Commercial Law / Commerce / Public Administration
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) would be an added bonus
Experience:
Fifteen (15) years of administration, project management, and stakeholder management experience in a fast-paced corporate environment
Three (3) years of senior management experience
Legal requirement:
Valid South African driver’s license
