Millwright (FMCG)
Boland Region, Western Cape
R35,000-R40,000 per month

Responsible for the daily maintenance and upkeep of all equipment on the plant. Reporting to the Engineering Manager & will be responsible for maintaining the mechanical, electrical as well as related systems of all equipment on the plant. (FMCG)

Requirements:
N3 & Millwright Trade Tested
At least 2 years of industrial experience including two years in operations
Willing to live and work in a remote area
Must understand the working of all equipment on the plant. (FMCG)
Will be involved in projects
Work after hours when necessary.
Willing to study in your own time.

Key Performances:
Maintains high occupational safety standards (Zero IODs).
Upholds high work quality. (Zero internal customer complaints).
Maintains a clean work environment by ensuring the cleaning of workshop facilities and equipment used.
Ensures high operating efficiency. (99 % machine availability).
Responsible for the maintenance of all mechanical as well as electrical equipment on the plant.
Conduct safety checks on equipment.
Conduct machine inspections and repair where necessary.
Replace defective parts of the machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
Align machines and equipment, using appropriate tools.
Machine lubrication.
Do faultfinding on equipment with and without PLC monitoring tools.
Need to support all engineering disciplines where possible.
Do AC Drive / Inverter setups.
Assemble and install equipment.
Scale calibration.
Maintenance & faultfinding on temperature sensors & controllers throughout the plant.
Ensuring that all the manufacturing processes on the plant work at the optimum level.
This includes the right rate as well as the quality of output, in order for the company to meet their supply demands
Ensuring that all aspects of an operation or process meet specified regulations.

Skills:
Team player and able to build and maintain relationships with production and QA.
Strong fault-finding skills.
Strong electrical skills.
Strong mechanical skills.
Pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge.
Knowledge of PLCs (fault finding).
Able to read drawings (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical).
Flexible to change and open to constructive feedback.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Not a clock-watcher and able to work long hours.
Willing and able to learn.
