Dis-Chem Pharmacies requires a merchant for its Table Bay store in the Western Cape region. It will ensure that Dis-Chem’s core merchandising standards are properly executed and maintained. Your responsibilities will also lie in providing excellent customer service.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 / Matric
Up to 6 months of retail experience
Computer skills – MS Office
Willing and able to work retail hours
DESCRIPTION
Restock merchandise as needed to ensure maximum sales
Make sure the delivered stock / stock pulled from the warehouse is stored and packed in the correct space at the right time
Make sure the stock on the shelves has not reached the expiration date
Make sure the full range of products is on the shelves at all times
Facilitate stock rotation on a regular basis, FIFO
Report low stock levels, out of stock, damaged stock, and expired stock to management
Assist with stock file counting and general inventory
Adhere to Dis-Chem’s operating standards, store layout, and planograms
Make sure the boxes are flattened after unpacking the material and taken to the designated area
Make sure products and store shelves are neatly laid out and visible at all times, with correct labels and prices.
Report all pricing discrepancies to management
Stay up-to-date with new and current products
Make sure merchandise displays are built, faced, stored, and maintained
Maintain daily physical maintenance of store displays and merchandise, and be responsible for your designated stock in the warehouse and on the store floor
Assist with loading and unloading of stock
Make sure items without barcodes are clearly marked
Help with subsequent purchases
Assist in the training of new personnel
Provide friendly, helpful and courteous advice and assistance to all clients.
Make sure all customer out-of-stock inquiries are made with the stock list customer service.
Make sure all customer stock inquiries are addressed and resolved
Make sure the correct uniform and badge is worn at all times
Minimize losses by handling all merchandise with care
Comply with Dis-Chem policies and procedures, standard operating procedures, and health and safety rules and regulations.
