MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Matric / Grade 12
Valid driver’s license and own car –
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Have knowledge of conveyor belts and related manufactured products.
5 – 10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment – Fully IT
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Product:
Product Development – Lead, review and approve product design and changes.
Design of new products and their prototyping.
Improvements in current designs.
Liaise with clients regarding improvements or modifications.
Customer Complaints Related to Product Performance and Failures – Manage, Investigate, Resolve, and Close
Site visits: technical input, performance measurement and problem solving
Continuous improvement, automation and optimization of the manufacturing process
Provide product support to all distributors and account managers.
Document management control
Project management: cost-benefit analysis and return on investment
CAD modeling, DEM analysis
Production:
Help with production planning.
Help with production timing.
Production line optimization: identify and implement improvements in production lines
Develop and implement quality standards and maintain ISO quality systems.
Liaise with external service providers to ensure manufacturing is done to design.
Technical support: quality control, resolution of manufacturing problems and assembly problems
Staff Administration
Continuous monitoring of people’s actions.
Staff motivation.
General supervision of the adherence of the personnel to the protocols and rules of the factory.
