DESCRIPTION
Our client operating within the Engineering and Manufacturing Sector seeks to appoint a methodical, proactive, intelligent and energetic IT Head.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Systems:
Maintain network security.
Maintenance of all hardware (Computers, CCTV, access control, alarm and network equipment)
Maintenance of all software systems, including databases (Syspro, VIP, ERS BIO)
Configure workstations
Help users with all hardware / software inquiries.
Interact with consultants regarding system updates and changes.
Assist department managers with system requirements and changes.
Manage all projects related to the system.
Reports:
Liaise with management on reporting requirements.
Set up / write new reports and, when identified, use internal resources or outsourcing where necessary.
Maintain and improve existing reports.
Feasibility studies:
Identify hardware and software systems that require updates / changes.
Investigate replacements or upgrade options and practical implementation at the Company.
Present update / change proposals to management.
General:
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with respect to all information on the system.
Any other relevant tasks / assignments given by management.
REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 / Senior National Certificate.
IT related degree
Ability to multitask and work with input from various sources.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Solid computer skills (MS Office Excel, Syspro, VIP, ERS BIO)
