REQUIREMENTS
Interested in getting fieldwork experience? A MSc project is looking for assistants to help locate nesting Agulhas Long-billed Larks in the Overberg this spring and summer.

RESPONSIBILITIES
All field work takes place near the small town of Protem in the Western Cape, from September through to the end of November 2021 – you need to commit for at least 2 consecutive weeks during this time.
Be comfortable spending long hours in the field by yourself watching larks.
Typically, a day starts pre-dawn hiking into the veld/farmland following pairs of Agulhas Long-billed Larks to establish where they are breeding.
The actual nests are then located and a camera trap installed.
Accommodation and transport provided. A stipend will be offered. Accommodation will likely be at the Haarwegskloof Nature Reserve. You cook your own meals.
You will be working alone: therefore, self-motivation and discipline is critical. I will be in the area too but working at other sites.

HOW TO APPLY
Interested? Drop me an email at rosesanjo1@gmail.com detailing past fieldwork experience and why you would like to be involved.
