King David would like to appoint an experienced Educational Psychologist/Registered School Counsellor/Social Worker. The ideal candidate will be confidential, empathic, compassionate and be willing to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
The applicant must be registered with the relevant professional council. Experience in working with adolescents and knowledge of the IEB examination accommodation procedures is essential.
Key responsibilities include:
identifying students who require special education interventions and monitoring their progress
assisting with the running of the Educational Support Programme
counselling students in the Educational Support Programme and communicating with their parents and teachers
conducting case conferences with parents and staff members
learning support for students as needed
applications for IEB accommodations
administration of examinations for students with approved accommodations
facilitating workshops with the counselling department
general counselling
The successful applicant would ideally begin on 3 May 2022
