The Right Company is currently recruiting for a Tender Coordinator to be based on the West Rand, Johannesburg
The company consults to both public and private clients specialising in water. Services provided to the water sector include planning, project management and contract administration, developmental engineering, as well as what is supply, demand, and losses
The New Business Development department is constantly on the lookout for new, exciting prospects and as such the need for a Tender Coordinator has become essential to assist this busy team.
Core tasks and responsibilities envisioned for this position are, but not limited to:
• Drafting proposals and project plans for tenders and private clients
• Assist with writing project plans, proposals, approaches and methodologies that are in line with tender requirements and scope of work.
• Assist with drafting proposals for prospective clients in the private sector based on information obtained during a site visit or directly from the client.
• Pricing schedule and estimating
• Assist with processing basic items in tenders with capacity to develop skills in estimating an understanding of civil related tenders. Eventually take on more responsibility with tender pricing.
• Quote on private sector work as and when required.
• Building schedule of rates
• Assist with processing basic items in tenders with capacity to develop skills in estimating and understanding of civil related tenders. Eventually take on more responsibility with tender pricing
• Quote on private sector work as and when required
• Building schedule operates
• Assist in building rates spreadsheet for all provinces in South Africa
• Attend tender briefing sessions and submissions.
• Liaise with suppliers
• Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate better rates for use in tenders and private sector work.
• Liaise with prospective clients
• Assist with following up on requests from prospective clients.
• Assist with following up tender outcomes and award information.
• Assist with site investigations when required.
• Report writing. Research content related to tenders.
• Conduct research on site conditions site conditions. Research emerging or relevant techniques and trends related to the scope of work.
Qualification and background:
A Tertiary Education would be beneficial, however, it is not a strict requirement in order to be considered for this position. The company is looking to employ a candidate with a background in sales stroke procurement, who also has a technical understanding of the civil engineering field and water sector

• Experience in using the Microsoft Office Suite and is well versed in using Excel.
• Effective communicator
• Technical report writing.
• Resourcefulness
• Easily adaptable, versatile
• Works well independently
• The ability to build and improve upon information and techniques provided during training.
Additional requirements
• Own vehicle
• Valid driver’s license
• Able to work flexible hours outside of the normal 8 to 5
• Willing to travel and drive long distances, if necessary.
