The NAC announced a new call for Project Applications for the 2021/2022 financial year on 7 August 2021.

Closing date: 17 September 2021.

In response to the sector’s need to make this call for funding more accessible, the requirement for organisations to submit the latest Financial Statements is no longer required.

The invitation is open to practitioners who are active in the disciplines of craft, dance, literature, multidiscipline, music, theatre, and visual arts.

Additionally, the submitted project must now have the capability to address at least TWO (2) of the six (6) critical focus areas, which include: Social cohesion and nation-building; Unearthing marginalised and indigenous arts in rural areas; Addressing social ills such as xenophobia, and gender-based violence; Supporting the involvement of women, youth employment opportunities and people living with disabilities; Creation of new works through digital media; and Capacity Building and Arts Entrepreneurship.

Applications must be submitted on or before Friday, 17 September 2021 at 23h55. Outcomes will be announced on 5 December 2021.
