DESCRIPTION
– Tumelo Mine, Hendrina Eickhoff South Africa (Pty) Ltd is looking to hire a craftsman.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Shift coverage where Eickhoff machines are in production, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of Eickhoff machines in the field, you are responsible for ordering and maintaining spare parts at minimum stock levels to ensure proper maintenance of the Eickhoff CM , assist with the repair and rebuilding of mining machines at the factory in Wadeville or at the Customer’s site.
You will report to the Contract Manager in the area where the Site is assigned, Responsible for completing daily, field and maintenance reports and any other reports as required, Any other tasks normally expected of a Craftsman, Comply with the Health and Safety requirements of the mine where you are assigned, Health and Safety (you and co-workers), Good maintenance in your areas of work.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Grade 12 or N3, Qualified Carpenter with a valid Business Certificate, Valid Gas Tests and Flameproof Certificates.
Familiar with engineering technology
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
At least 5 years of experience in underground mining equipment, At least 3 years of experience in continuous miners from Eickhoff, Be self motivated and enterprising, Good verbal and written communication skills, Ability to forge strong relationships with clients, Work required -Now overtime hours, Be fit to work in an underground environment (valid red ticket), Own transportation with valid driver’s license.
